McNapkin B&Bs have been a personal fav for several years and this is their strongest album by lengths. Fluid, focused with plenty of variety, you really can't go wrong with Panorama. Favorite track: The Villain (LP Version).

Peck This is my favorite album yet by Birds & Batteries. The lyrics are super deep, words to live by. B&B are still very much at large...I've only heard "Let the Door Swing" so far from their new joint "Stray Light". Amazing song, peep the crazy video. Favorite track: We're an Industry.

Panorama 03:41
Well I want a panorama Just so I can see it all 360 degrees around me You could watch a year go by like a house-fly Time's up on the wall It's got so many eyes And not one will sympathize Oh I want a panorama One look, wide-eyed and alive 360 and 5 degrees around the sun Because there's so much to see And it's racing behind me But some how, I'm gonna break free From the boundaries that separate the world from me Well I could dissipate into the landscape And fade in to black sand All my big plans into sparrows and whip-por-wils And the night jar And the chimney swift All carrying them out Without me, yes I know they will carry them Oh I want a panorama aaah Cause we can only try not to always be alone

You never seem to let go Of everything you think you know You never let go of what you know I know it's hard to do I know it's hard But I wish you would Cause there's a million people Doin' what your doin' And if you were my kin At the table it would begin And I'd try to talk to you Maybe we could talk And I wish we would Cause there's a million people Doin' what your doin' And there's a million ways That you could change And I wish you would Now it's time for you to let go Of everything you used to know It's not that hard to do No it's not that hard And I think we should

Raincheck 04:46
I'm gonna have to take a raincheck Cause every time I do It just gets me through Another day, another delay Don't it slow you down? You put it off for tomorrow You gonna have to take a raincheck Well if I leave, I'm gonna regret it Because I'll never know what might have been And if I stay, another delay now Oh no, no We'll never know what hit us And if I leave, I'm gonna regret it But, if we stay strong, I know we could carry on And like a stream, we keep on rolling along And as we grow, we flow to the ocean Down down down, let my love come falling down Let it flow on down to the ocean It seems the safest thing is to postpone And we could play this game another day When someone's calling you on the telephone Oh no no, Call me back tomorrow It seems the safest thing is to postpone If I was the only man left alive I'd still be forced to decide What to do. What to do... You got friends all over town And when they see you there, they call out your name I love to hear your name called out Then I know we got friends in town And you got a lot of love with in you You got a lot of love, we're just hanging around Don't you hold it back no longer Down down down, let your love come falling down Let it flow on down to the ocean If I was the only man left alive I'd still be forced to decide What to do What to do...

If you turn around, we go back Like a train runs on a track We used to put that record on Long ago but not that long... And now your singin' a song That I knew when I was young We can only see ourselves In the people we love And its a strange kind of mirror Yeah its a strange kind of mirror Well I live through you And you live through me I wouldn't know me If I didn't know you And we live what we see We live vicariously We can only see ourselves We can only see ourselves And it's a strange kind of mirror Well we pull as we connect We absorb as we reflect And there is another side And its not that hard to find... But the more that I hate The more I can't relate There must be something in me That I don't wanna see And you remind me You remind me Of how bad I can be And it's a strange kind of mirror And to the people we discard I know your workin' hard But you don't talk like me We sure as hell don't agree And I can tell That your angry But that just makes me angry But the more that I love The more I'll rise above There must be something in me That I'm trying to see And you remind me You remind me Of how good I could be And it's a strange kind of mirror

You and me we are an industry You and me babe, we're an industry You and me we are an industry You and me, you and me Well its hot at the center of the earth That spot of pyre and liquid core She causes natural disasters And it's hot At the center of the earth Tectonic plates belong together Ahh Ahh Like all the continents we were held together In the time of volcanoes It's hot at the center of the earth White noise and molten harmony We cause natural disasters And it's hot, at the center of the earth Tectonic plates belong together Ahh Ahh Like all the continents we were held together In the time of volcanoes You and me we are an industry You and me babe, we're an industry You and me, we are an industry You and me, you and me Well its hot at the center of the earth White noise and molten harmony We cause natural disasters and its hot At the center of the earth

Sometimes I think that dying is just like driving Down a dark highway So far away from you 3AM all alone, no music on the radio My only guide is the fading light And all the trucks that moan and shudder Like ghost ships The wheels of the soul They'll be dragged, by dark magnets, up mountains Through the black and into the night And sometime's we come upon the glow of another inferno But they scatter like sparks into the suburbs Aw and then, nothing again It's when I'm driving Down a dark highway All alone, no radio That I can't help, thinkin' about, fading out No I can't help thinkin' about, fading out No I can't help thinkin' about, fading out Yeah, I can't help thinkin' about, fading out

The machine and the vampire Well they need fresh blood to keep alive And just to keep goin' Just to keep the grinding teeth oiled and rolling Well it's clear now That evil exists And it casts a shadow on us all The things I've done and the things I've seen Well they changed me "What doesn't kill you, won't always make you stronger What doesn't kill you, won't always make you stronger What doesn't kill you..." Won't leave you alone I had no choice but to point a gun at a man And it cast a shadow over him But in the city of sand That man can explode and take you with him Well it seems that good evil and exist And they're separated by a name While others might claim That two are simply one and the same- oh no Cause when the teeth touch your neck and break the skin, They've sucked you in. I once had a friend, but now he's gone And I watched him leave in a flash He walked through the door I don't wanna tell you anymore
8.
Oh, city faces They fade away from me The mind erases What the heart can't see And I'm trading places With the man across the street and I know That those city faces Will fade away from me And now I am a man of constant sorrow And I know... That I've taken all the love I could borrow And I've seen days of golden suns But they changed Now I believe in the villain, I believe in the thief Who steals what he is given And keeps it underneath I believe in the villain I believe in the thief Who steals what he is given He holds it in his teeth Now you've become an abstraction You've become an idea And when you represent something to someone Your face will disappear Yeah you're the core demographic We're the hands, you're the feet Now take us where we are going: Where the heart can't see

Cold bones and ring tones By some hypnotic flash We are knocked out cold, our switches flipped We all fall, starry and peaceful And if the universe fell asleep We'd never know the difference But maybe something like an ice-age Could preserve us, hold us With electronic lullabyes All things will sing Let the centuries pass And powerlines sway Baby when we wake up We'll be together When we wake up, we'll walk In the tall grass and remember When the day comes we will wake up, we will be together When it comes around, I know we're gonna feel right at home And if you break through the town walls Of some big stage production Tell me where are you in the story? If you ask me, I'd say the start
